About this app

Track My Trip is the ultimate mobile app for GPS tracking and trip recording. With its advanced GPS tracking technology, Track My Trip allows you to record your tracks with high accuracy and low energy consumption. You can export your tracks in popular formats like GPX, KML, and KMZ, and share them in real time with other users.

But Track My Trip isn't just about tracking your trips - it's also about capturing your memories. With the app's ability to add points of interest (POI) during your trip recording, you can easily remember important locations or landmarks. And with the ability to attach photos to your POI, you can create a comprehensive visual record of your travels.

So whether you're on a hike, bike ride, or road trip, Track My Trip is the perfect app for all your GPS tracking and trip recording needs. Here are some of the features that make Track My Trip stand out from other tracking apps:

High Accuracy: Track My Trip uses a combination of GPS and other location services to provide highly accurate location data. This means you can trust that your tracks are recorded with precision, even in remote areas with limited cell coverage.

Low Energy Consumption: Track My Trip has been optimized for low energy consumption, so you can track your trips for longer periods without draining your device's battery. This makes it ideal for longer hikes or road trips where you want to record your entire journey.

Real-Time Sharing: With Track My Trip, you can share your trips in real time with other users. This means your friends and family can follow along and see where you've been, without waiting for you to upload your tracks later.

POI and Photo Attachments: With Track My Trip, you can add points of interest (POI) during your trip recording, and attach photos to your POI. This lets you capture important landmarks, scenic vistas, or other points of interest that you want to remember later.

Export to Popular Formats: Track My Trip lets you export your tracks in popular formats like GPX, KML, and KMZ. This means you can use your tracks in other apps, or share them with friends who use different tracking apps.

I've only used this app so far for one week of traveling. It seems to accomplish what I want most, a record of the time and places I've visited. My biggest problems are I don't find it particularly intuitive, and therefore find it frustrating at times, especially when I'm recording my current route and wish to examine an earlier part out it more closely. The display just won't let me do that as it centers the display on my current position, probably every time it creates a new data point.

Another issue seems to have popped up. In-process tracks aren't showing up. They do, with background maps, one I get home and connect to the Internet. I don't have extensive data on my phone, so it's off most of the time. Anyway, that wouldn't make much difference, because I'm ususlly hiking out of cell phone range. Anyway, prior to the last couple of hikes, the in-process tracks would draw on the screen, albeit without the background map. Even without the map, the track is valuable to assure I don't get lost (can follow myself back to the start point). Did you make some change in the the latest update? Been using it several years for hiking. Been sending the hike track info to my fellow hikers. But, latest update is now smothered with ads, and I can no longer figure out how to forward the data. What the hell have you done? You took a damn useful app, and destroyed half of it. This is a followup. After posting the above, Olaf and I communicated, and resolved the issue. I don't know that either of us did anything creative. The phone/app seemed to fix itself. Either way, I'm good. I only use this app for hike tracking, and sending the results to my fellow hikers. The app is straight-forward to use, and easy to share data albeit only through G-mail (a minor annoyance). The ads are a new, and also relatively minor annoyance. But, all things considered, you can kill that annoyance for a one-time $1.49. So, why crab about it? the poor guy's gotta make a living.

Thanks for the feedback. We haven't modified the sharing functionality of Track My Trip with the latest updates. There must be something else going wrong. Please send us an email (neocor6@gmail.com) with a short description of the operations which don't work anymore.

Exactly what I needed it to do! Needed an app to record bus routes so I could study them later. This was almost perfect!. My only complaint is that you can't (yet?) Click on a portion of the route and have your speed pop up. I was hoping to review that too. They do have a speed graph, but that is hard to match up with the particular section of route.
